POUGHKEEPSIE – City police in Poughkeepsie are investigating the robbery of a US Mail carrier that took place on Saturday, October 21.  The robbery occurred on Brookside Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m.

The victim told police that he was delivering mail along his route when he was approached by two men wearing masks.  The mail carrier alleged that he was physically restrained and property was stolen.

The suspects fled the scene on foot and police have been unsuccessful in locating the masked men.

In August, two men attempted to rob a US Mail carrier of his master key in the Town of Poughkeepsie.  That case also remains unsolved.
