New York State Police from Auburn apprehended a man on drug-related charges after being revived at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on October 21.
Around 12:43 p.m., troopers responded to the collision at the intersection of State Route 5 and Oakleaf Drive in the town of Brutus. Upon arrival, they found the driver, identified as Gregory C. Church, 54, from Ogdensburg, NY, unconscious in the vehicle.
EMS responders administered Narcan, successfully reviving Church, who was then transported to Auburn Community Hospital. An ensuing investigation uncovered approximately 56.3 grams of cocaine within the vehicle.
Post his hospital release, Church faced arrest for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, with intent to sell, as well as driving while ability impaired by drugs.
He was taken into custody and will answer the charges at a later date.
