Activewear chain Sierra to open new store this week in Canandaigua

Popular activewear outlet Sierra is set to inaugurate its new store at Roseland Center, located on 3225 state Route 364, Canandaigua, on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Spanning 13,722 square feet, the new establishment belongs to the retail conglomerate that also encompasses T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods.

This Canandaigua branch is the latest addition to Sierraโ€™s expanding New York footprint.

Originating in Reno, Nevada, in 1986 and later acquired by TJX Companies in 2012, Sierra prides itself on its diverse inventory.

The retailer provides a spectrum of items ranging from menโ€™s, womenโ€™s, and childrenโ€™s apparel to essential outdoor and sporting equipment.

With the winter season fast approaching, Sierra is gearing up to offer a variety of seasonal items, including snug sweaters, fleece, and gift sets tailored for fishing and camping enthusiasts. To mark the Canandaigua store launch, Sierra has organized a grand opening event featuring music, interactive games, and an array of giveaways for its patrons, commencing at 8 a.m.

In addition to its business pursuits, Sierra has showcased its commitment to community service by contributing $10,000 to the Family Promise of Ontario County.

Sierra will maintain its regular hours from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

The retailer is currently on the lookout for full-time and part-time associates for its Canandaigua branch, with interested candidates encouraged to apply online.
