POUGHKEEPSIE – A City of Poughkeepsie resident was shot Monday evening on South White Street. City police, fire, and EMS personnel responded to a report of a male victim of a shooting on South White Street at approximately 7:44 p.m.
Upon arrival, the first responders located the 34-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his gluteus maximus. The victim was treated by fire and EMS personnel before being transported to a local hospital.
The victim was “uncooperative” while being questioned by police, according to a sergeant familiar with the investigation. Police were unable to locate evidence and could not identify the exact location of the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
