The MTA said Friday evening it was limiting access to Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan to ticketed customers only “because of a protest in the area.”

Ticketed customers could access the station via the 105 E. 42nd St. entrance and the Kitty Kelly Ramp at 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue, according to the transit authority, which encouraged customers to build in additional travel time.

Jewish Voice for Peace, a national Jewish anti-Zionist group, said it was holding a protest at the station and calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. The group organized a demonstration at the U.S. Capitol last week that led to about 300 arrests.

A Gothamist reporter observed hundreds of people gathered in the terminal’s main concourse.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
