Detectives are looking for suspects after a double shooting left two people injured in East New York.

The NYPD is hunting for a suspect following a double shooting on Tuesday night.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 31, officers from the 75th Precinct responded to a 911 call of an assault in the vicinity of Barbey Street and Black Avenue in East New York.
Upon arrival, officers were informed of two gunshot victims: one 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his leg and one 33-year-old-victim with a gunshot wound to his back.
Both victims were transported by EMS to Brookdale Medical Center in stable condition.
The investigation remains ongoing and there had been no arrests as of Wednesday morning. Â
East New York has historically reported some of the highest instances of gun violence in Brooklyn, so much so that the mayor Eric Adams’ Office to Prevent Gun Violence is focusing many of its programs and initiatives within the neighborhood in efforts to curtail gun-related crimes.
According to police data, the 75th precinct, which encompasses East New York and Cypress Hills, has reported 886 felony assaults so far this year compared to the 924 cases reported during the same period of time in 2022.
