Fire in classroom forces evacuation of Syracuse University’s Newhouse school building

Syracuse, N.Y. — A fire in a Newhouse School of Public Communications classroom forced the evacuation of the Syracuse University building Thursday night, firefighters said.

A fire alarm activation around 8 p.m. sent firefighters to the building on 215 University Pl., according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches.
