The Buffalo Sabres made a pair of roster moves ahead of Saturday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The team placed defenseman Mattias Samuelsson on injured reserve with a lower-body injury and recalled defenseman Ryan Johnson from the Rochester Americans.
Johnson was drafted by Buffalo in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft.
The 22-year-old tallied four points in nine games with the Amerks this season.
