Sabres fall to Hurricanes in OT

The Buffalo Sabres erased two deficits to force overtime but still fell 3-2 to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night at PNC Arena.

Alex Tuch netted his fourth goal of the season for Buffalo (6-6-1), while Rasmus Dahlin sniped his third on the power play, which sent the game into OT. Casey Mittelstadt and Tage Thompson tallied assists.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen earned the starting nod and stopped 24-of-27 shots.

Each team finished 1-for-4 on the man advantage.

The Sabres will head home to host the Minnesota Wild on Friday night at KeyBank Center. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
