Syracuse’s Dan Villari and Chris Bleich were honored Monday for their play in the team’s 28-13 victory over Pittsburgh this past Saturday.
Villari, a tight end, was named ACC Running Back of the Week, while offensive lineman Chris Bleich earned ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
Villari set Syracuse’s program record for rushing yards by a tight end with 154 yards on 17 carries. He also found the end zone in the win.
Bleich and the offensive line helped the Orange run for 492 yards, the most since the 1996 Liberty Bowl. Three players finished with over 100 yards rushing, the most in a Syracuse game since 1997.
