Fadal has won 13 Emmys over the 30 years sheโs spent as a news anchor and reporter. She worked at news stations around the country before coming to New York City.
โThe excellence Tamsen has shown as an anchor in this community has been invaluable to us as a station. But even more important, Tamsen has served as a role model for countless young journalists and been a force for many of our viewers,โ said PIX11 News Director Nicole Tindiglia.
On her website, Fadal describes herself as โa pioneering voice for menopause advocacy, an Emmy Award winning TV journalist and podcast host.โ

A series of comments were posted to wish the long-time anchor well.
โThis has been the day I never wanted to think aboutโฆ Iโm heartbroken at the thought of not having you LIVE in my living room to come home to everyday after work,โ wrote one Instagram user. โHowever, Iโm excited & anxious to see where your next journey will take youโฆ I KNOW that whatever you do, you will be a great success. Love you for all that youโve given me (& the rest of NY) for well over a decade. Missing you alreadyโฆ. Please stay connected!!! xo from Long Island!โ
