Postal carrier gets a shot to show off trivia knowledge on TV’s most-watched game show
ALBANY — Charlotte Diffendale, a city resident who works as a postal carrier, will be a contestant on tonight’s episode of “Jeopardy,” airing at 7:30 p.m. on WTEN/News10ABC, according to an announcement sent early today by the long-running game show.
Diffendale on Monday tweeted a photo showing more than 50 handwritten pages that she said were trivia questions prepared by her mother to help her practice for “Jeopardy.” Diffendale said of the pages, “Are they two-sided?? You know they are.”
Her parents are Robin Diffendale and the late Stephen Diffendale of Round Top in Greene County, according to her father’s 2019 obituary. An online tracker of “Jeopardy” contestants lists Diffendale’s age as 43.
Her social media presence indicates an interest in animals, especially horses; her Twitter profile says, “Time is a pony ride.”
Now in its 39th season of syndication, “Jeopardy” has weekly audience of more than 20 million viewers, making it the top-rated quiz show on television. It has won 43 Emmy Awards.
