The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Derrick R. Juliano, a 33-year-old man from Newark, following a traffic stop in the Town of Galen.
Juliano faces multiple charges, including DWI, operating a vehicle with a BAC over the legal limit, speeding, and possession of an open container in a vehicle.
During the traffic stop, deputies observed several signs of impairment in Juliano, including impaired motor skills, slurred speech, and bloodshot, watery eyes.
These observations led to the administration of field sobriety tests, after which Juliano was arrested for DWI. He was then transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where a BAC of .15 of 1% was recorded, nearly twice the legal limit.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
