Three women arrested after not stopping for police while in stolen car in Syracuse

Syracuse, N.Y. — Three women were arrested after refusing to stop for police while in a stolen car in Syracuse on Thursday, police said.

At 9:29 p.m. police attempted to stop a stolen Honda Accord at the intersection of S. Salina Street and West Calthrop Avenue, said Lt. Matthew Malinowski, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police.

The Honda refused to stop, continuing about 330 feet to the next intersection of S. Salina Street and W. Lynhurst Avenue, Malinowski said.

Three women were arrested.

Andrea Facen, 21, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle. She is being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center jail, according to jail records.

Dayviana Felder, 18, and Marshea Waethers, 20, were both charged with third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle.
