Nearly 2,000 households are without power in Wayne County.
The outage, reported by NYSEG, included 1,933 addresses as of about 1:30 p.m.
The impacted areas included the towns of Palmyra and Arcadia, as well as the village of Newark.
It’s unclear what prompted the outage. The region has been experiencing moderate winds throughout most of the day, but those gusts haven’t appeared strong enough to cause power outages.
