Sabres send goalie Devon Levi to Rochester

The Buffalo Sabres assigned goaltender Devon Levi to the AHL’s Rochester Americans, the team announced on Tuesday.

Levi, 21, has struggled to start the season, going 3-4-1 with a .876 save percentage and 3.73 goals-against average while missing time with an injury.

On top of that, the Sabres had three goalies on the roster, which limited his playing time.

Buffalo will move forward with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Eric Comrie.

Luukkonen, 24, has a 6-4-1 record with a .918 save percentage and 2.54 GAA in 11 appearances this season.
