Syracuse, N.Y. —ABC’s World News Tonight came to Central New York Tuesday to report on the lake effect snowstorm hitting the region.
ABC’s lead meteorologist Rob Marciano reported from Syracuse. His coverage included Pulaski and an interview with a Michelle Hughes shoveling snow outside a hair salon, A Cut Above.
The National Weather Service reported 5.5 inches of snow had fallen in Syracuse with more expected. The snow is expected to end by 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Much higher snowfalls totals fell up north – 22 inches had fallen in Orwell as of 1 p.m.
The snowy conditions have led to dozens of car crashes and road closures in the county. Some schools canceled after-school activities.
