Mets sign former Yankee Luis Severino to 1-year contract

Luis Severino will not return to the Yankees in 2024 but won’t have to move very far.

The two-time All-Star hasn’t made more than 19 starts in a season since 2018.

Severino reunites with manager Carlos Mendoza and gets another crack at free agency next winter.
