STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD responded to a report of a robbery in Elm Park during which several individuals allegedly stole a teenage boy’s backpack containing high-priced clothing and cologne.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of 160 Morningstar Rd. and Innis Street, when three individuals approached a 14-year-old boy as he was heading to a bus stop, according to a spokesman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
One of the individuals pushed the boy into an alley, while another punched him in the face, police said.
A backpack containing two pieces of clothing valued at $130 each and a bottle of cologne were stolen from the boy, police said. No injuries were reported.
There have been no arrests, and an investigation is ongoing, the police spokesman said.
