Many U.S. school districts and at least one in Central NY are planning to close Monday, April 8 next year because of the total solar eclipse.
Liverpool Central School District officials sent an email to parents saying they would close that day. North Syracuse schools will have a half-day and dismiss before the afternoon, when the eclipse will occur. Other school districts are making their decisions.
