They found the answer on Wednesday night, landing superstar Juan Soto and Trent Grisham in a seven-player blockbuster trade with the San Diego Padres.ย
New York sent right-handers Michael King, Drew Thorpe (No. 5 prospect), Randy Vasquez, as well as catcher Kyle Higashioka to the Padres in exchange for Soto.ย
Soto, 24, is one of the most productive offensive players in the game and has already won a World Series (2019 with Nationals). Over six big-league seasons, the outfielder has a .284/.421/.524 slash line with 160 homers and 483 RBI in 779 games.ย
