Two men were struck, one fatally, by subway trains in Brooklyn in separate incidents, according to police.

Just before midnight Monday, first responders found a 37-year-old man on the tracks at the Sterling Street subway station in Crown Heights. NYPD officials said he had been struck by the southbound 2 train, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, police responded to another call of someone struck โ€“ this time at the Broadway/Marcy Avenue station in Williamsburg. Police said an unidentified man had been hit by a J train and was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

NYPD officials do not suspect any criminality in either case, and are still investigating why both men were on the tracks.

The name of the man who died has not yet been released.

This is a developing story and may be updated.
