Teenager killed in Syracuse shooting, police say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A teenager was shot and killed Tuesday evening on Syracuse’s South Side, police said.

Officers responded shortly before 8 p.m. to a call for shots fired in the 100 block of Cheney Street and located several casings. A short time later, they found a 15-year-old male in nearby Lower Onondaga Park who had been shot in the back.
