Qadir Martin poured in a career-high 34 points, including eight in overtime, as host St. Peter’s recorded a 76-70 CHSAA AA victory over perennial powerhouse Cardinal Hayes on Tuesday in New Brighton.
Martin, who scored his previous high of 32 during his freshman season at Curtis, also finished with a game-high 14 points and five blocked shots, as well. Jalen Munson (four rebounds, two assists) added a season-high 17 points while Jorel Monroe (seven rebounds) and Jack Clancy chipped in with 11 and seven markers, respectively, for the 4-1 Eagles (1-1 CHSAA).
