TOWN OF WALLKILL – The Monhegan Middle School campus was opened for parents/guardians to pick up anyone who was not taken home by bus at around 10:50 a.m. . This follows this morning’s sttabbing of two students by another student.
The school lockdown has been lifted.
District officials said the medical conditions of the injured students are confidential. They received immediate medical treatment and are being treated by medical professionals.
The incident unfolded around 8 a.m. with police from several jurisdictions converging on the scene. Wallkill Town Police are the lead agency in the investigation.
