Another day, another injury for the Buffalo Sabres.
Forward Jeff Skinner was placed on Injured Reserve Thursday after taking a massive hit from Colorado’s Nathan MacKinnon in Wednesday’s 5-1 loss to the Avalanche.
In a corresponding move, Buffalo recalled forward Brett Murray from the Rochester Americans.
Skinner has 22 points (12 goals, 10 assists) in 30 games this season, tied for the second-most on the team, trailing Rasmus Dahlin’s 24.
The Sabres continue their three-game West Coast trip Friday night in Vegas when they face Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights at 10 p.m.
