NYPD seek tips in alleged lewd act performed on MTA express bus on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help to identify an individual sought for questioning in connection with an incident of public lewdness on a MTA express bus in Oakwood.

The incident was reported on Dec. 2 at about 3:10 a.m. in the vicinity of Guyon Avenue and Hylan Boulevard, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

A 23-year-old women was riding on an Eltingville-bound SIM1C bus when an unidentified man sat across from her. He allegedly exposed himself and performed a sex act in front of the woman, according to the police statement.

The man then exited the bus at Guyon Avenue and Hylan Boulevard and fled to parts unknown. No injuries were reported in this incident, according to the police statement.

Images of the individual sought for questioning were provided to the media by the NYPD.
