Another person close to Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito is stealing the spotlight.
This time, it’s Tom DeVito Sr., who was heard in an ad for Peerless Boilers on WFAN on Wednesday.
“I’ve installed Peerless Boilers throughout my career and they’re the best choice for all your heating needs,” the New Jersey-based plumber says in the ad, via X (formerly Twitter). “People ask me all the time, ‘Are Peerless Boilers really the best?’ And I answer, ‘Forget about it.’”
It’s another example of why Tommy DeVito has risen to stardom. His blue-collar upbringing is relatable. Paired with his recent success it makes him a professional athlete people can’t help but love.
DeVito wasn’t a high-draft pick. He was an undrafted practice quarterback who was only elevated to the active roster after both Giants’ starting quarterback Daniel Jones and backup Tyrod Taylor suffered injuries.
Since then, he’s only gotten better, refusing to relinquish starting quarterback duties. In four consecutive starts, DeVito has a 3-1 record, completing 66-of-99 passes (66.7 completion percentage) with seven touchdowns and one interception, a 105.7 quarterback rating.
DeVito doesn’t come with a high-powered agent — his agent, Sean Stellato, “looks like Johnny Fontane from ‘The Godfather’,” Peyton Manning joked on the “ManningCast” during the Giants’ 24-22 win over the Packers on Monday.

The DeVitos are a proud Italian-American family from northern New Jersey, where a proud community of paisans resides. It’s where the finger-purse celebration and the kiss on the cheek, like the one DeVito Sr. gave Stellato after Tommy DeVito threw a touchdown pass to Isaiah Hodgins in the third quarter, come from.
“Tommy’s father grabbed me and gave me the biggest smooch on the cheek,” Stellato said, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN. “Him and I, we have a very close relationship. It was one of those moments where we’re just family.
