Deputies arrested a Fairport resident following a DWAI hit-and-run crash on Wednesday along State Route 444.
According to a news release, it happened shortly before 1 p.m. on December 13, when deputies were called to the area of State Route 44 and County Road 41 for the report of a hit-and-run accident.
While deputies were headed to the scene the suspect vehicle was seen traveling south on State Route 44 toward East Bloomfield.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of County Road 30, and investigated the accident.
Victor Carlsen, 85, who was identified as the driver, was taken into custody for DWAI drugs.
The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
