Good news for those hoping to see the Geneva Family YMCA reach its fundraising goal to ultimately move forward with a major capital project: Officials say theyโre almost there.
The Geneva Family YMCA has been an integral part of the community for more than 156 years, and while speaking with Finger Lakes News Radio, Mary Bakogiannis said they have just $150,000 of the $5.2 million left to raise.
The Cityโs planning board has granted approval for adding 10,000 square feet to the facility, as well as making significant interior improvements.
The fundraising effort is part of the Building What Matters campaign.
