Newark, a village in Wayne County, is gearing up to welcome a new Taco Bell franchise in 2024, as announced by Indus Hospitality Group.
The planned location for the fast-food restaurant is on Mason and West Union streets, utilizing a portion of the current Save A Lot parking lot owned by the Breen family.
The village Planning Board is set to hold a public hearing on January 3 to discuss subdividing the property and address necessary variances and permits, including one for a drive-through.
Indus, known for developing various Taco Bell and KFC locations in the region, has already received approval from the Wayne County Planning Board and is seeking further approvals for the project.
Additionally, Indus Hospitality Group plans to construct a four-story hotel with over 70 rooms on East Union Street near Byrne Dairy.
