With Christmas rapidly approaching, the deadline for holiday shipping is nearing, prompting a last-minute rush to post offices. Shoppers have just three more days to send their packages and cards to ensure they arrive in time for the festive season.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) had set specific cutoff dates for different shipping options, with December 16 marking the last day for five-day shipping using USPS Ground Advantage and First-Class Mail Services, and December 18 for four-day shipping.
For those who leave it until the last minute, the only option to guarantee delivery by Christmas is Priority Mail Express one-day delivery, available until December 21.
Although this service is more expensive, it may be a necessary choice for late shippers.
Regular priority two- to three-day delivery remains an option. However, the last day to mail a card or envelope using First-Class mail is December 20.
USPS will not deliver regular mail on Christmas Day, and the last scheduled day for regular USPS delivery is Saturday, December 23, as Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday.
