Man staying at hotel in Clay accidentally shoots himself, drives to hospital in Syracuse, deputies say

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man staying at a hotel in Clay drove himself to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse after accidentally shooting himself Saturday, deputies said.

Around 1 a.m. Julio Rios, of Maryland, arrived at Upstate University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, deputies said.

The shooting had happened in the parking lot of the TownPlace Suites at 8505 Pepperidge Way, where Rios was a guest, deputies said.
