The year began with the brutal, rage-fueled stabbing of Nelson, a West Brighton man. Authorities allege that on the evening of Jan. 11, Eric Wilson, 26, viciously stabbed Nelson in the neck, killing him in cold blood.
A source with knowledge of the investigation previously told the Advance/SILive.com that neighbors Wilson and Nelson had argued over an earlier encounter where Wilson kicked Nelson’s car as he was unloading his children.
Wilson was charged with second-degree murder in connection with the horrific encounter.
Prosecutors said the slaying was captured in Ring doorbell footage.
