STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A New Year’s Day shooting at a busy intersection on Staten Island left one 18-year-old man wounded.
The shooting, which was called in around 11:38 a.m., happened at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Clove Road in Sunnyside, according to a spokesman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information. The unidentified man was shot once in his left arm, and was brought to Richmond University Medical Center by private means, the spokesman said. The victim is in stable condition.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. There is no description of the perpetrator available at this time, according to police.
