Rappaport hands out “Keys to the Town” in Fallsburg

FALLSBURG- Supervisor Kathy Rappaport, the first female Hispanic supervisor, has concluded her final days in office and as a symbol of appreciation, along with Dr. Sean Wall-Carty, Deputy Town Supervisor, presented the “Keys to the Town” to several members of the community.  The “Keys to the Town” were given in recognition of commitment and service to the Fallsburg community.

Among the honored recipients are individuals from The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, including Robert  Ladenhauf, Lara Biella, Christopher Meyer, John Paxton, Jeremy Knapp, Ashley Friedel, and Executive Director Regina McKenny-Snead. 

Additionally, Keys to the Town were presented to individuals from the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley including Ellen Bresky and Amy Robillard.  Rappaport also honored Sullivan County Head Start  Executive Director Bertha Williams as well.

Finally, a special tribute was extended to Chief of Police Simmie Williams, who is planning to retire in June after 32 years of service.  

Rappaport and Wall-Carty expressed their gratitude for the remarkable service of these individuals and encouraged them and others to continue serving the community.
