STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual sought for questioning in connection to an alleged assault in New Springville.
It was reported that on Friday, Dec. 29, at around 12:40 p.m., a 34-year-old victim was inside a commercial business located 460 Nome Ave. when he was approached by an unknown individual, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
Puff Convenience is located at the address provided by police.
According to police, following a verbal dispute that led to a physical altercation, the individual allegedly pulled out a knife and chased the victim. The individual allegedly stabbed the victim in the left abdomen before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim was transported by EMS to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze in stable condition.
The individual is described as a male with a medium complexion, approximately six-feet tall, with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a blue hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
