Man found dead in creek at Upstate NY nature preserve; deputies investigate

Milton, N.Y. — Police are investigating the death of a man found dead Tuesday morning in a creek at an Upstate New York nature preserve.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office rushed to Axe Factory Preserve at 11:33 a.m. after a caller spotted a body in Kayaderosseras Creek. When deputies arrived, they found a man in the water who was “obviously deceased”, the sheriff’s office said.

The man was identified Wednesday as Adam J. Kramm, of Milton. He was 40 years old.

Kramm’s cause of death has not yet been confirmed, Capt. Daniel Morley told the Times Union. The investigation is ongoing.

Axe Factory Preserve is on Axe Street just off Maple Avenue. The nature preserve is at the site of the former Isaiah Blood’s Axe and Scythe factories and includes walking trails, views of Kayaderosseras Creek and historic ruins from the area’s industrial boom era.
