Auburn man sentenced after attempted rape, burglary conviction

Brandon M. Lowe, a 37-year-old man from Auburn, has been handed a significant prison sentence for various crimes, including attempted rape and burglary. Lowe received an eight-year state prison term followed by nine years of post-release supervision for first-degree attempted rape, classified as a class C felony. Additionally, he was sentenced to the same prison term for second-degree burglary, also a class C felony, with five years of post-release supervision.

Furthermore, Lowe was sentenced to seven years in prison and nine years of post-release supervision for first-degree sexual abuse. For the misdemeanors of second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass, he will serve 364 days in the Cayuga County Jail. A 15-day jail term was imposed for second-degree harassment, considered a violation. Finally, Lowe was sentenced to 1 1/3 to four years in prison for two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony. Notably, all these sentences will run concurrently.
