Sabres win back-to-back games for first time since November

For the first time since early November, the Buffalo Sabres have won back-to-back games following a 3-1 road victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night.

Buffalo (17-19-4) held a 1-0 lead after 40 minutes, but Pittsburgh tied the game nearly eight minutes into the third period. However, the Sabres regained the lead with just under five minutes remaining in regulation and then sealed the win with an empty-net goal.

Alex Tuch (10), Zemgus Girgensons (3), and Rasmus Dahlin (12) scored for Buffalo, while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 41 saves.

Buffalo finished 0-for-3 on the power play and 4-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The Sabres will return home for a six-game homestand that begins Tuesday against the Seattle Kraken at 7 p.m.
