Police: Waterloo man tried to stab and kill person in Seneca Falls

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a 61-year-old Waterloo man after he tried to kill a person during a dispute.

Stephen Rapini, 61, is accused of threatening to kill another person, brandishing a knife, and attempting to stab the victim.

Fortunately, the victim managed to defend himself, sustaining only superficial injuries unrelated to the knife.

Rapini now faces charges of criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree assault, and menacing.

An order of protection was requested on behalf of the victim and Rapini was sent to the Seneca County Jail.
