BETHEL – A 71-year-old Smallwood man was killed early Friday morning as he crossed Route 17B toward Pine Grove Road in Bethel and was struck by an SUV.
Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty identified the victim as Robert Biondi who was struck minutes before 7 a.m.
The female driver of the vehicle, a Kia Sorento, was not charged.
The incident remains under investigation.
