Coach John Bentivegna’s Monsignor Farrell team applied the pressure in the first few events, building a lead, and never took its foot off the throttle en route to a big win at the S.I. Indoor Track and Field championship meet, held Sunday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
With senior Ty Lawless taking two horizontal jumps, and freshman Edwin Alleva kicking to a big win in the 3,200-meter run, the Lions opened a 30-point lead that they held until the final events were completed.
