Jorel Monroe gave St. Peter’s some momentum with a trey at the halftime buzzer, then keyed a third-quarter burst with two more shots from behind the arc as the Eagles earned a 58-47 CHSAA AA victory over visiting Archbishop Molloy on Monday in New Brighton.
The 6-foot-5 Monroe finished with a game-high 17 points, including four shots from behind the arc, to help SP improve to 12-4 overall, including 3-3 in league play. Qadir Martin (16 points, eight rebounds, five blocks) and Jalen Munson (12 points, eight rebounds, five assists) also contributed for the Eagles.
