Palmyra man violates court order, flees before deputies arrive, then comes back the next day to do more damage

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Palmyra man following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Deputies arrested Cassius D. Wright, age 36, of Palmyra following the investigation into a domestic incident on January 15 where he destroyed the victims ring camera and violated a valid refrain from order of protection set in place by the Town of Palmyra Court. 

Deputies said Wright was not located as he fled the scene prior to their arrival. Deputies were again called to respond to the same location on January 16, where it is alleged that Wright damaged additional property that belonged to the victim. That property being drywall inside of the victim’s residence and in doing so again violated the refrain from order of protection issued by the Palmyra Town Court.

Wright was arrested on two counts of second degree contempt, two counts of criminal mischief, and one count of harassment. He was transported to the Wayne County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date.
