STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three individuals sought for questioning in connection to an alleged incident of grand larceny in New Dorp.
It was reported that on Saturday, Jan. 6, at around 10:15 a.m., three unknown individuals entered a supermarket located at 2656 Hylan Blvd.
The individuals removed a 79-year-old woman’s wallet containing approximately $600 and credit cards that were later used in an attempt purchase items from other commercial establishments, according to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.
ShopRite is located at the address provided by police.
The individuals fled the location in a dark-colored vehicle and no injuries were reported, police said.
