Two juveniles arrested after blowing stop sign, hitting car and house in Syracuse, deputies say

Syracuse, N.Y. — Two juveniles were arrested after blowing a stop sign, hitting a house and car in Syracuse Thursday night, deputies said.

Around 8 p.m. an Onondaga County sheriff’s deputy was driving behind a Silver Hyundai on Stolp Avenue when the Hyundai blew a stop sign, said Tom Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office.

The Hyundai, driven by two juveniles, hit a car parked in a driveway on Summit Ave and then hit a home, Newton said.

The two got out of the car and ran but deputies caught them near Hubbell Ave, he said.

The two juveniles were taken into custody and then released to their parents, he said.

Newton did not say the age or gender of the juveniles or what they were charged with.

No one was injured, he said.
