New CEO continues progress at Family Services (VIDEO)

POUGHKEEPSIE – Family Services Inc. CEO Leah Feldman took her position as the leader of the agency in 2022 and has not settled down.  Feldman is the CEO of an agency that provides services and programming to children, adults, and families in three counties, is the landlord of the Family Partnership Center, is continuing a capital projects fundraising initiative, and Feldman herself recently ran 50 miles to raise money for Family Services.

Feldman’s presence at Family Services has made an impact throughout the Hudson Valley and her drive was recently recognized by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce which presented her with the “Athena Award“.

Feldman recently sat down with Mid-Hudson News to provide an overview of Family Services Inc. and the programming the agency provides.

The agency provides assistance, services, and programming to 17,000 children, adults, and families annually throughout Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster Counties.  The services include behavioral health services, prevention work, victims’ services, and prevention work along with community safety and youth services.  “We exist to support everyone’s right to thrive,” Feldman proclaimed.

The Family Partnership Center (FPC) in Poughkeepsie is owned by Family Services and has several tenants that offer services to enrich the community, according to Feldman.  SUNY Dutchess (DCC) holds classes at the continually improving building that also houses a bank, Dutchess Outreach, a library, and a renovated gymnasium that can be used for community events.  The building has undergone substantial renovations, many which were long overdue, to make the building safer and more accessible.  The most notable change is the new glass entryway in front of the building that was originally the Poughkeepsie High School and then Our Lady of Lourdes High School before the FPC.
