Shiella M. Schledorn, a 60-year-old woman from Dansville, has been charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter following a fatal car crash on December 3 in Conesus. The crash resulted in the death of 51-year-old Robert E. Alford, a passenger in Schledornโs car. The Livingston County Sheriffโs Office reported that the accident occurred on Stagecoach Road when Schledornโs vehicle veered off the road and hit a culvert.
Alford was pronounced dead at the scene, while Schledorn sustained injuries and was initially trapped in the car. She was later taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment. Along with vehicular manslaughter, Schledorn faces charges of driving while impaired by drugs, driving without a license, and various other vehicle and traffic violations.
Following her court appearance, Schledorn has been ordered held on $20,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. The date for her next court appearance is yet to be announced. The Sheriffโs Office is continuing its investigation into the crash with the involvement of multiple divisions and units.
