Andrew Cuomo sues AG Letitia James for investigation records

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has filed a lawsuit against state Attorney General Letitia James. The suit, lodged in New York state court on Thursday, aims to obtain witness statements from the sexual misconduct investigation that led to Cuomoโ€™s resignation in 2021. Cuomo asserts that these records are crucial for his defense in two sexual harassment lawsuits related to the investigation.

He and his supporters have accused James and the investigation of being biased.

Cuomoโ€™s spokesperson, Rich Azzopardi, criticized James for allegedly withholding documents and conducting what he described as a politically motivated investigation. The response from Jamesโ€™s office to the lawsuit was not immediately available.
